Estate sale of Barbara Jean Sims (BJ)
In the business world, BJ began in 1952, working for Mr. Reed McDonald at Texas A&M University-College Station for the Texas Feed & Fertilizer Control Service now part of the Office of the State Chemist.
Upon Mr. McDonald’s recommendation, “BJ” became Administrative Assistant in 1979 – one of the first women on campus to hold this title.
She loved to travel, especially to Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Rico and Japan and was a hot air ballooning enthusiast. You will see her wonderful collections from many of her travels.
Her jewelry collections are amazing, especially the Native American sterling silver belts and jewelry much of it coming from her trips to New Mexico beginning back in the 1960’s.
This is one of the most eclectic sales we have ever held. It will include a large Roseville Pottery collection, Mermaid collection, Circue du Soleil collectibles, Gnome collection, painted pony figurines,
Native American Kachina dolls and baskets, Japanese art and collectibles, a full kitchen, ladies designer clothing, shoes and handbags, many still new with tags, Nautical collectibles, and so
This sale is being held at the Catalina condominiums and we will have a 3 day sale. The first day will be Thursday the 28th at 12 noon and will run until 4. Due to the small size of this packed two bedroom condo we can only allow 15-20 persons in at one time.
On Thursday ONLY we will take appointments for the first 20 people and after that we will let people in as we have room.
We are trying to obtain a “common room” on the second floor ( this will be for the garage items, Christmas items and lots of the misc that we do not have room for in the condo)
You can shop there and we will call you when room becomes available upstairs.
